The 6th train in 11 days that has covered our home. These trains are causing major property damage. Sorry about me reading all the numbers but Norfolk Southern asked me to get the car numbers so they can track the mines that are causing this damage. We don't know the health effects of this coal dust but I'm sure its not good breathing it in. We have been reporting this problem for over a year now and giving NS the car numbers, dates and times of the incidents. We're not sure why it is taking so long but I did tell them I would go public with these videos if it happened again... well, it happened again. I'm sorry but I don't know what else to do. We just want it to stop.
@ConrailQ6759 Conrail, thanks again for the info. I'm learning more from you than even the people with NS... Can I ask why I wouldn't have to worry about CSX? Who is CSX?

@MonaLisa57 Actually, it is quite possible 4-5 mines load a train. In Pennsylvania especially. Since some mines are smaller, they can only do 10-15 carloads, let's say a week. So, 4 or 5 mines are close enough together, NS will pull all the loaded cars out, and put them in the same train. But Bailey does load some NS and CSX trains. You wouldn't have to worry about CSX though...

@ConrailQ6759 NS knows the mine who is doing it. We have been giving them Dates, times, engine #'s and car #'s for over a year now. I've asked where they were coming from but they wouldn't tell me. They told me there are 4 or 5 different mines loaded on one train?????? Thanks for the information Conrail! :)

@MonaLisa57 Well, here's what I'd ask NS then. I'd be willing to bet that the trains your showing are from Bailey Mine in West Virginia. Not sure if they spray that down or not, but I saw another video of yours, and that was loaded from a different area. So I'd ask if Bailey does any spray downs on their loads or not then. I'm pretty sure that's where your trains are coming from, though.

@ConrailQ6759 It is not ian inevitable part of the trains.... We have NUMEROUS coal ash trains come by our home in a weeks time and the majority don't do any dusting at all because they are loaded properly and sprayed down. All we ask is that before a train leaves the station they make sure this coal dust is sprayed down like the majority of trains are. We have lived here for 20 years and only in the last YEAR has this ever happened. IT MUST STOP! It's much bigger than just a NUISANCE
