Bob St Lawrence with Martin Stamatis and team - 1st run Saint Train VI Top Fuel dragster.

Today, 3rd December 2009, Martin Stamatis piloted Bob St Lawrence's dream down the 1/4 mile drag strip being to watch his hand built steel nitromethane powered Top Fuel engine power up the track.

While the time of 9.23 was off St Lawrence's 6.2 personal best time with this engine, it was an indication that when the car runs again that it may beat that record time the way that it launched and drove well today.

While this video is over 7 minutes long, what it does represent is the human spirit involved with the people who have helped Bob's dream to get to today. A mad thrash of people, team, family and friends got this car running in just a few weeks for Bob, and to see it go up the track today was a magical thing to have witnessed and experienced. It's all about the spirit behind making this man's dream a reality.

There will be some in-car footage of this run posted over the next few days. Well done to everybody who made Bob's dream a reality...you all deserve a massive pat on the back...awesome...totally awesome.
