@thelonius23 This is a Gibson custom, which means super high end guitars, The "studio" series are in the very beginning of the les paul series (Studio>Standard>Standard Plus/Pro>Custom) so yuo cannot compare those two instrument. Anyway I've heard that the 50's tribute's pickups were way too hot, but it's still a nice looking instrument lol

Hell ya....that's what I'm talkin' about! Tasty playin!!!!

What is the difference between a guitar with a wraptail bridge and a guitar without it?
-
@Matt86Man yeah, not too much though. for example, heavy strings are for solid playing (jazz, rock, metal) while slinkies are for more laid back, fluid playing (blues, country, alternative). I personally prefer slinkies.
@Matt86Man To a point, true tonal quality depends ultimately on the individuals' ability on
the instrument.

Awsome guitar and awsome playing...There is a new Les Paul out its called Les Paul studio 50's Traditional I think. It has no binding on the neck or body and the body is chambered, 2 P90's, few options for worn finishes. Stop tailpiece and the the Abr -1 bridge I believe. How do you think that would measure up compared to this one? I am interrested in one but have not had a chance to hear one in action...
