  • I Agree...best sopran solo ever

  • perfect

  • Actually, I think the greatest saxophone solo is John Coltrane's "Giant Steps", but that's just my opinion.

  • One of the best solos ever mainly because of the great groove that's rocki'in on the background. Funk it!

  • Ive heard alot of Miles and he certainly took some GREAT solos. but his main talent was for putting situations together, he was a one of a kind leader in a way no one else that i know of is/was. While Bob Berg always kind of plays in the same general style, his solos ALWAYS burn HARD, and always have an arch, a uniting thread throughout, which is rare in a player who plays this intensely...in my opinion, Berg is the better player AND soloer than Miles (or just about anybody for that matter)

  • @YONFEREK You are full of shit, my friend. Miles was undoubtably a great musician, he is one of my heroes, but towards his last days his playing was weak, and no-one seems to be able to say that without being attacked by people like you. He surrounded himself with superb musicians because he had the 'name and fame' to be able to do so, which enabled him to continue to create great music. I'd love to hear your band playing; where are the links to back up your claims that you supported him?

  • @billzman I know EXACTLY what you mean. Mike and him are both Phenomenal player but berg definately isnt a copyer like a lot of others. He is supreme in his own right. I would have LOVED to see Mike and Bob play together on the same stage. Maybe the cosmos would have melted away in front of our very ears if such a union could have be allowed. BRECKER AND BERG- THE BEST HORN PLAYERS OF THE LAST 30+ YEARS

  • Funny title about Miles... But Berg played a good solo. He is by no means comparable to Michael Brecker.

  • Dont agree! Have you heard of Grover?!?!?!

  • @JetForceF22 Seems here that everybody knew Miles better than Miles himself!!...Maybe you guys need to spend more time listening and less time writing!
