San Jose Sharks : 2008-2009 season

Highlights from the 2008-2009 season of the San Jose Sharks. The Sharks get their best record in franchise history, finishing first in the league with 117 points (53-18-11) including a 32-5-4 home record. They also broke and matched various marks such as the best start for any team in NHL history after 25 games.

The good work of the second line (Michalek-Pavelski-Clowe), the arrival of Boyle, Blake, Lukowich, Lemieux, Moen, Huskins and head coach Todd McLellan (all stanley cup winners) along with an extremely potent first line (Marleau-Thornton-Setoguchi) propelled the Sharks to the top of the standings early in the season. Once again, Nabokov had a strong season, posting 7 shutouts and a 41-12-8 record.

as a sharks fan i sure as hell hope they can do something other than bomb horrificly in the playoffs again. its so freakin frustrating watching a team who has the talent to go all the but is lacking something to win when it matters. this year ill go in with the mentality that they'll lose and maybe i wont be so dissapointed
