A video explaining how to create a virtual machine with VirtualBox and then install Windows 7 inside it.

You will need:
A Windows 7 Install DVD (any version)
Oracle VirtualBox (shown in video)
1GB of RAM or more (recommended)
At least 15GB of HDD space

Kernel fix for Ubuntu 11.04 Natty Narwhal BETA: http://geek.co.il/wp/2011/02/16/running-virtualbox-on-ubuntu-11-04-natty-alpha

VirtualBox Extension Pack (enable USB, other random things - closed source only on Linux version):

(Double click on file to install)

As always, please comment, thumbs up and subscribe (I don't think you can rate anymore) because it really helps us in making these videos.

  • @mindXpand Because the one from the software center doesn't allow the USB support of the one that I show you.

  • does it lagg alot? can you play windows games from their?

  • @raiderszuck Depends on what type of computer you have. If you have at least 4GB of RAM and a decent graphics card, you could maybe assign 2GB of RAM to the VM and play from there. If you have a computer like mine, don't even try. Mine lags heavily on Internet Explorer, let alone a game. As a whole though, it isn't really recommended to play a game inside a Virtual Machine.

  • You help me whery mach withe the links... now i can sync my iphone with VB Thanks!!! :)

  • @Liova50 You are very welcome.
