@vindicator2008 There will always be people who have a problem with tuning cars and want to piss on one's perade... No way remapping the ecu can cause so much trouble. The choice is yours but I still think that Mercedes was modest in the power output of that engine... They push 500nm out of 2.1L diesels these days...

@McDuncun yeah I am going to remap the ecu early 2012 and will post the difference. I am hoping for a similar performance of a 2010 S420 CDI.

I think you should be able to get more power out of that engine...

@McDuncun I am thinking of remapping the ECU to get some 300hp and some insane torque. Some people say it is fine and some say it will radically shorten the life of the timing chain, transmission, injectors.. but in the spring I will do that anyway.

@vindicator2008 i am in no way a engineer or a mechanic but i would certainly worry about things like dual mass flywheel because its a terrible contraption by itself but unfortunately it's the way to keep vibrations down and make a diesel "luxury" ... when that goes transmission can suffer too... but if this one's a "proper" mercedes im sure it should be able to handle things...

@vindicator2008 You should be carefull about what software you choose, if you get a very agressive one, it will cause problems. But if you get a good one, then you shouldn't have any issues with the car, try to go for a good tunner such as brabus or others.

What is that strange noise on 0:20? I heared the same on some others cars. Do you have any troubles with this gearbox?

just about a drop of fuel left and the car worries about windshield washer fluid... classic

I would not remapp this engine...it's an awfull engine and breaks to often down...
