...many years ago I was at the Chautauqua Theatre in Boulder, I went back stage and gave you a book about a fearful world and ultimate paradise...a month later I was in the dark at the festival in Estes Park and you said, "A month ago a girl gave me a book that really affected me...so I wrote this on the way home, hope you like it." I never told you this, but I love it!

David's music doesn't tend to be divisive along religious lines, despite his own professed faith. His words are malleable, not rigid, allowing each listener to form their own narrative. He is able to connect with our experiences and the wounds they inflict. Great healing can be found in music like this, for both the religious and nonreligious.
