The first Howard Zinn Memorial Lecture is delivered by veteran journalist, Bill Moyers. Citing Zinn [...]as his inspiration, Moyers focuses on the challenges facing our democracy. He decried what he says has been a 30-year trend toward plutocracy, where the rich get richer at the expense of the average citizen.

@TomFynn it's co-opted by the plutocrats, they marginalize the base and turn sensible solutions into "radical" or "fringe". Convincing the populace to stop consuming Mainstream Media as their source of information is the first hurdle to this uphill battle.

Chris Heges is right - voting wont help. Revolution is needed to tople this state of affairs just as the statues of Stalin and Saddam Hussain were topled along with their regimes.

Get out of NAFTA, bring back protectionist tarrifs, and force the wealthy to invest in America if they want to keep their wealth. Reverse Reaganomics by lowering the Payroll tax and increase the taxes on the "Super Rich".
