On Wednesday, November 11, 2009, members of the Young Americans for a better tomorrow (YABT) were out on Academic Walk in honor of Veterans day. Over 500 people showed their support for our troops in Iraq by signing the 15ft banner as well as a thank you card for the local veterans. In just 5 hours there was barely any blank space left on the banner. In addition to the thank you banner, YABT also collected supplies such as soap, shampoo, candy and magazines for the troops serving in Iraq. Word spread quickly about the event and Pittsburgh's Channel 11 and the Duquesne Duke came out to the event. For more information: Duquesneyoungamericans@gmail.com
