All together our pension reforms will save $100 billion dollars in the decades to come. If there is one thing I've learned over the last seven years is that real reform is very difficult. Let me tell you a quick story about just how tough it was to get our reforms passed in the legislature.

  • Good. The correctional facilities (whether state or privately run) that lock up "hardened criminals" (read: pot smokers) are nothing more than a money making racket.

  • good

  • I just hope he becomes president.

  • Jerry Brown for Governor!

  • @KraftTV watch it with me man

  • Maybe those "republicans" showed some humanism by opposing another paycut for state workers (translated now as "pension reform") after 18 months of furloughs. How much they still have to sacrifice? They are starving already.

  • So what, I'll admit it - I watched Commando two times in a row this week. I DID!

  • Guards put their lives on the line every time they enter those prison gates. Shame on GAS and his tyranny on the Correctional Peace Officers Union. There are correctional officers working everyday to ensure the tax payers safety from hardened criminals and he can't pay them for the wages or retirement they were promised? Give me a break! There are families the Union is trying to protect. It's not about the Union GAS it's about the people they represent!

  • I can't believe the idiocracy of this man. It's so obvious he's got it out for the Correctional officer and their union. All forms of law enforcement are important! He has held the Highway Patrol on a pedestal and given them raises, all the while most other state workers have been taking their 3 furlough days a month. For correctional officers, that's 3 furlough days without actually getting to take the

days off. Correctional officers get to deal with the law breakers day in and day out.
