This was our first time ever doing the blindfold routine. One of the members of Taz's flyball team asked us to come to a company "Talent Night" so we could put on a doggie talent show with several members of the team and really show them some serious talent! I made some changes to the routine before we performed for Pet Star as you will see, kind of changing some of the tricks around and of course adding more distance with the larger stage as well. We both were still kind of getting used to working solely on voice commands as he was kind of improving on me and I was still giving my usual hand signals even though he couldn't see them! You'll also see that Taz did not yet rub his face after the blindfold is removed that was actually a behavior he does after eating that I encouraged him to do for laughs and he really got into it on those Pet Star shows! The funniest thing to me watching this is how I ask the audience to be quiet at the beginning and they were so incredibly loud in this tiny auditorium! I'm still amazed that Taz was so unphased by all the noise considering that he had a blindfold on and wasn't really a professional performing dog.
Well Done! you have done a very good thing for yourself and for your Owner! YOU ARE THE BEST SHELTIE I EVER KNEW!
