Tribute to the best catcher ever to play the game, Johnny Bench. Sparky Anderson once said, 'Don't ever embarrass another catcher by comparing him to Johnny Bench'. Bench, from Binger, OK, ROY 1968, NL MVP 1970 & '72, played entire career for the Cincinnati Reds, leading the Big Red Machine to World Series titles in 1975 & 1976, plus four NL Titles. The 70s Reds are considered by many to be baseball's all-time best. Compare stats to 1927 Yankees, and you can see why. Bench was their leader. Thanks for watching. Enjoy.
