King's Highway 401 in Toronto between Weston Road and Highway 400 experience over 500,000 vehicles per day, making it the busiest highway in the world. At 18+ lanes wide, it is also one of the world's widest highways. Even with all the capacity there are several major bottlenecks along the route that bring traffic to a grind during peak rush periods.

@rajin335 I don't doubt that at all. But the 401 goes all the way across Ontario doesn't it? the 405 is all within the LA area. And the 360,000 vics that go through are counted between 2 exits in Seal Beach near the Airport. All those cars originate and terminate all within Los Angeles. That's why I say LA is a tad worse than Toronto. Toronto probably has worse rush hour traffic but LA has traffic usually between 4:30am and midnight 6 days a week. And LA doesn't have those fancy GO trains lol ;)

between 3:30pm-7pm the 401 is packed i mean it takes 2 hours just to get from 410 to 404 during those times and if u drive on the 401 any other time of day it would take u 45 min to get from 410 to 404!!!
