A musical Tribute to Texas landmark and one of the most famous roller coasters in the world (at one time anyway) The Texas Cyclone. It was destroyed (murdered) 3 months before it's 30th birthday.
Along with Six Flags Astroworld just 3 months before it's 38th birthday.
Astroworld had a lot of cherished chilhood memories for thousands of people that visited the park every year, time and time again, and a part of all of us died with Astroworld.

Astroworld 1968 - 2006 Closed Oct.30,2005, was destroyed during the month of March 2006
The Texas Cyclone 1976 - 2006

Greased Lightning actually survived, it was moved to a park in Lubbock,Tx and will open this summer

  • Texas cyclone fyi wasnt demolished with the six flags D: it was moved to Six flags new england along with most of the rides from Houston

  • Maybe you seen a replica or maybe you are thinking about the Cyclone in Six Flags New England. Cyclone was opened as the Riverside Cyclone in 1983 when the park was known as Riverside Park, now Six Flags New England. The Texas Cyclone could not possibly be relocated somewhere else , I personally watched the destruction from bulldozers on March 9, 2006.
