why so much bit?

It's really not alot of bit. It is your standard Tom Thumb and what we use in the advanced training. I guess it could be more severe it used improperly......all of our horses will ride in a simple snaffle, as well, when they have finished training and most have been exposed to a Bozal or other bitless bridle. Personally I like to ride in a Tom Thumb, I guess.

Thank you for the nice comment, but our trainer is not filmed in our videos. We use volunteers, family, etc. to ride our horses for the videos.

its really not painful if used properly.

A Tom Thumb Bit, should be labeled as animal cruelty. There is no "proper" way to use it, every way is painful for the horse.
