False Teachers use Hypnosis via Music Against Christians

A "Fair Use" sized clip from a great DVD set called "The Signs and Wonders Movement Exposed". It is just a short portion of a section about how false teachers use a form of mass hypnosis to keep followers in a "suggestible" state. The chanting, music, raising and lowering of hands are all part of techniques used by stage hypnotists.

So people come up saying "I'm Healed" when they actually are not. They just feel good for the moment.

Christians should keep 2 Thessalonians 2:9 in mind. What will you do when one comes who actually does show you various signs? Let their doctrine versus a proper read of scripture be your guide. Like those of Berea mentioned in Acts 17. Not emotion.

Jesus and the apostles never needed a "praise team" to get everyone wired up before they would minister.

Those who market "signs & wonders" can't produce the goods. They are unable to actually perform miracles and supernatural healing. So they then resort to outright deception, or more subtley, they call natural healing, coincidences, and other natural phenomena "miraculous". They pray for healing of a paper cut, and then pronounce it miraculous.

They are pagans, magicians, psychics. Not Christians.

You make a good point. You are presuming I haven't found God because I don't believe in praying to him to cure illness or provide wealth, or to confer some special benefit to me that he is not willing to grant to anyone else. I want God to make the world a safe place for all of his children. For some reason he is completely unwilling to comply. I'm through asking and I'm not going to some phony healer to be gamed.

@Jugivadi .. Its funny, u know, when a fisherman went to the ocean, in a stormy nite, and came back with a big fish without rejoicing . Humans nowadays ain't that thankful anymore.. they need some kind of thingy to make them truly understand the meaning of rejoice.. Actually, illness is a kind of way to teach human to find God.. Even you, yourself ain't gonna find God till you get leukemia or something .

If you believe you have been healed by God, it's ok and recommended that you go to your doctor and get examined, this is your testimony to those who don't believe, and to test the spirits. It's biblical, even Jesus sent those whom He had healed to the elders.

@Deloa7Armando Wonder why you have had so many illnesses that needed miraculous healing? Why doesn't god just protect you from these maladies in the first place? I'm told that he could do that ya know. Sounds like he doesn't like you very much. So much needless suffering. If I had infinate power, I would never let you get sick. I'd protect you.

If u r a believer then God hears your prayers wherever u r so u don't need to go anywhere to ask God to heal u. Either he will now, or sometime later - even if later means when u get a new body in heaven. He may do it instantly, amazingly, or thru many chemo treatments, pills, surgery, etc. Y go to a guy & pay him or a convention ctr. to b hit or act like a toddler in a fit on the floor? Plus, throughout history the devil's helped "magicians" perform false "miracles" so ppl will listen to them!

Keeping the mindset that all faith healers are frauds you will likely be right more often than not probably 100% of the time.

People fall victim to these snake oil salesmen all the time faith is a powerful tool they use to gain credibility. When magicians preform their illusions which can be far more elaborate than those of a faith healer most people are not convinced it is really magic, yet buy into these less elaborate tricks in the name of faith sometimes fatally(use faith instead medical)
