@dragontooth81 Well, yes, there's nothing wrong with utilizing new technology and drawing from the material of masters, but one has to wonder if Mozart's intentions and ideas that were present when he wrote his Requiem are being thoughtfully worked with here, instead of just being ridden to lend Evanescence's material artificial depth. If this encourages people to go and listen to the classics, then kudos to Evanescence, but compared to how it was originally constructed, this *is* kind of tacky.

@PentarchesThe biggest fools are ones who take others for imbeciles! You make some BS opinion and present it as if it were actually Mozarts? I listen to a lot of Mozart and I can say he emulated (borrowed) styles and compositions from many other artists in his time. All artists do, any that would say otherwise is lying. I'm cirtain if Wolfy were alive today, he would make full use of any tech that wasnt avail 300 yrs ago. I really hope EV inspires people to discover the classics for themselves!

I never really played Final Fantasy but I have always loved videos about them I don't know why and when Evanescence is on the video it makes it a bonus to me!

"The only sad thing about a great night in the theater, is its EVANESCENCE. When it’s over, it’s over. You can remember the performance forever of course, but you can’t recreate that VIRGIN SENSATION – that almost numbing exhilaration – of witnessing something NEW and different FOR THE VERY FIRST TIME." - article "A Chorus of Love" by Frank Rich of The New York Times Oct 1, 1983 inspired me to write Like A Virgin for Madonna, New Sensation for INXS, & inspired the band I named Evanescence.

@furiousmat I can tell you right now that I listen to a *lot* of Mozart, and if he had wanted the Lacrimosa to have a drum track and a breathy vocalist, he darn well would have written them in. His Lacrimosa is an expression of man's creeping fear of death- precisely as he heard it- and I find myself struggling to hear that underneath these needless additions. It's not... *ugly* music, but it's over-the-top and unnecessary, and it's certainly not doing Mozart a favor.

So many people saying poor Mozart. Why? Imitation is the greatest compliment.

lol at most people saying "poor mozart". most of them posers don't even listen to Mozart and just try to look fancy. Truth is they found themselves on a video from Evanescence and they knew damn well what Evanescence is. Mozart should be glad that he's had enough success with an unfinished composition for it to be reproduced so long after his death. I say Congrats Mozart.
