  • Matter of fact, last year during the "Teen Best Friends Week", the winning couple carried the Wild Card into the bonus round with them, even though they Bankrupted at the start of Round 3, while holding the Wild Card.

  • And in Round 4, it'd be the "Ring" over $200 ($900 in nighttime) and "Trip" over $100 ($150 in nighttime).

  • Pat Finn, John Davidson, Chuck Henry, and Bob Eubanks all auditioned for the show. Pat Finn would have been a good host and would have learned a lot from Merv.

  • I think it looks like that because the unused trilons above the outer columns (the ones that are cut off) never got aligned with the used trilons, and that's why they look that way; the trilons are the same size.

  • I think that's the first time I seen any letters used on those far left trilons. Is it just me or are those letters quite a bit more narrow than the other letters?

  • i think its becuz somebody from backstage took it cuz he went bankrupt and the host didnt take it

  • I have the regular version, Second Edition.

(Sorry it took too long to reply -- I got caught up with fixing my popcorn, helping my brother out with Soul Calibur II, and playing Phantasy Star II all at one time. But I'm free. XD )

  • The one in the white box featuring Vanna White? I LOVED that version. That PC game had some pretty nice looking graphics for 1991, plus the PC wheel mixed it up a little with spaces like $850 and $950. I still have it somewhere.

  • Suddenly, a couple of minutes into Round 3, it looks as though Rick's CHINA prize had disappeared (possibly post-production editing -- correct me if I'm wrong).

  • We meet again, my good sir. ^^

The info provided here seems pretty interesting, considering I have never seen the Goen version of WOF on GSN or regular cable (I wasn't born till 1990, and my parents never put me in front of the TV till 1991; additionally, my family never got GSN till 2002, when we got digital cable).

Often, I'd jot down the space positions of the Wheel for fun (and for my own reference) when I watch old episodes of WOF (or when I'm playing the 1991 IBM PC game).

  • i'd say that bob didn't know that the prize went into the bank along with the cash. it's also like that time i think in the 25th season someone had the wild card and she hit bankrupt and pat didn't take the card from her as he would have. she held onto it and took it to the bonus round.
