@mohawkgangster you know why there is no straight kick boxing fight? because UFC is for everything which is why GSP is beating everyone so far with only 2 losses. what titles does alves have? hes a good muay thai fighter but thats it. the reason gsp won is because he is well rounded so that means he will beat alves if there was a kicking, boxing match only.

Before the Condition, body shots made me drop to the ground breathless. now i can take them way good. and leg kicks still hurt a bit though, ive only been training for a year.

Jesus fucking Christ, how can you say GSP isnt a good striker? He doesnt use it because he doesnt have to. The man is intelligent, he has a game plan everytime he fights and executes it well. Why stand up and risk getting knocked out when he can take it to the ground where he has the greater advantage. You all saw how tired Thiago alves was on the ground, he has to support GSP's weight as well as struggle with his own trying to scramble back onto his feet. Thiago did a good job (Y) no doubt.

Gsp does not have better stand up than alves look at the fight and compare the explosiveness of alves kicks to gsp, thiago alves is like a snowball he builds momentum as the fight goes on, every time alves would build momentum gsp would take him down and stop it gsp used mma to beat thiago alves but in a straight kick boxing fight thiago would beat gsp
