The Paradox and the Naked Japanese Dude

In the early 2000s, the Paradox was a Mars Hill building that hosted two worship services on Sundays and over a dozen hardcore punk and heavy metal shows during the week as an all-ages venue. Pastor Joel estimates they put on over 1,000 shows in just over 3 years. The shows ... had absolutely nothing to do with Jesus, to put it one way, but the Paradox turned out to be one of the places where the church saw the most number of conversions.

This clip is excerpted from the God's Work, Our Witness Documentary, which premiered on December 4, 2011 in all Mars Hill churches and online. It's a story of how God was incredibly faithful to a group of people who had no idea what they were doing—except that they were committed to the gospel of Jesus Christ and to building and serving his church.
