Sigmar Polke (born 1941) is one of the most important artists of postwar Germany. The huge exhibition at the Frieder Burda Museum in Baden-Baden combines the three major Sigmar Polke collections of Frieder Burda, Josef Froehlich and Reiner Speck. With its 170 paintings, "Polke - a retrospective. The collections of Frieder Burda, Josef Froehlich, Reiner Speck" is one of the most comprehensive retrospectives that has been organized for many years. Die Polke-Ausstellung im November2009 in Hamburg in der Kunsthalle war riesig, da sie einen größeren Zeitraum aus Polkes Schaffen zeigte. Doch im Burda-Museum verpasse ich so gut wie keine Ausstellung, ab Mai 2011 ist dort Neo Rauch zu sehen und ich freue mich schon, da ich die Ausstellung in München verpasst habe aus Zeitmangel und dann wegen Urlaub.

Absolutely. Ive seen more of the wealthy (presumably) gawkers and vultures than I have of Polkes work. It was good to see a large number of his stuff under one roof at the same time but man, It almost made me sick to see all the people drooling over something they could buy and turn around for a few more bucks 8 moths later. Good call!
