Django Reinhardt was one of the greatest and most influential guitarists of the 20th Century, I made this video using one of Django's most famous compositions, "Nuages," as my tribute to him. I'm playing Lead and Rhythm Acoustic Guitars, Bass and Drums on the soundtrack of this video.

I dedicate this video to all the guitarists I've met here on YouTube, which includes, in alphabetical order: Alex, Barry, Baz, Colin, Dave, Del, Freddy, Gary, John, Marlene, Melinda, Nicholas, Paul, Peggy, Phil, Rob, Tim, and last, but definitely not least, the incredible Victor!

Please, subscribers, let me know if I forgot to mention you! I was up passed 5:30 AM making this video!

  • Hey Diesel... What about 'Miner Swing'? You played 'New-ages' right on, so you would be able to swing that 'Miner key' yeah? And right.. you don't owe nobody any apology. That was swimmin' good.

    Cool Man. 5*'s

  • Hi Karbunkum. I may get around to doing another Django tune. Maybe ''Stompin' At Decca.'' Glad you like it. 8-)

  • You owe no appologies to any Django fan.

Thank you so much for sharing your talent

    and your affection for Django.

  • Hello Joe! Django has been one of my favorite Guitarists since I first was awed by his abilities, and the great songs he performed, way back when I was a teenager and was fortunate enough to become exposed to his music. I appreciate your kind words! Thanks for visiting! 8-)

  • very enjoyable....must have been great to hear these guys live...players like Joscho Stephan and Bereli Lagrene and Jimmy Rosenberg still carry this style forward...all amazing players. Acoustic guitar is in good hands i believe...keep up the good videos....they can only help spread the gospel...of guitar, Bodinism, or the spaghetti monster?

  • Hi Boyd! I first learned of Django when I was 14, reading about him in Guitar Player magazine. It would be several years before I actually got to hear his music and buy some of it. I had 6 albums when I was 17 or 18. I love 1930's Hot Jazz and Django was the man! 8-)
