TAKEN Short (Part 1 of 4) w/Alan Rachins Ray Oriel Mimi Kennedy

TAKEN is a short film starring Alan Rachins, Ray Oriel and Mimi Kennedy.
The thriller was written, directed and edited by Pierre Lapointe, produced by Mary Margiotta and executive produced by June Guterman.

The story revolves around a kidnapped businessman being held for ransom who finds out the people closest to him have betrayed him and must forge an uneasy alliance with his kidnapper.

The short was originally produced by Filmware Productions in 1994, completed in 1996 and recently acquired by Northern Star Pictures.

The story was remade in 1998 as a direct to video film starring Dabney Coleman.

TRIVIA: After making this short film, Alan Rachins and Mimi Kennedy played husband and wife in the sitcom Dharma and Greg.
