@OoAryAnAoO well that's a bit of an exaggeration. The fall of the Wall was a result of a gradual process that started with the beginning of economic stagnation of the USSR in the mid/late-70's and later resulted in Gorbachev's Perestroika, which lead to softening of the policies, loss of power and the imminent demise of the whole repressive system. In reality the soviets weren't actually defeated, it's just that they could not finish the Mujahideen off and decided it's time to leave.

ofcourse it is :) because of the great defeat of soviets in Afghanistan, their influence on europe started to fade, thus afghans helped germans in indirectly in fall of Berlin wall.
