Bette has an ear for great songs and great composers (Prine, Waits, Mcgee), I wish she would record a CD solely dedicated to that type of material!! Yes John is an American treasure.

John Prine is one of the great songwriters of the last 30 years and this is a piece of wonderful modern poetry set to lovely music. If this was Schubert, they would herald his genius.

@dobella nothing to be ashamed of, its an amazing song. im pretty much the same way, as is my dad. we both teared up at this show. you can actually hear him in the beginning, his "wooo" as soon as he realized what song it was has a pre-teary sound to it if you ask me...
