In the last game of the Apertura 2010 tournament Vélez needed to win their game against Racing Club and hope that Estudiantes dropped points against Arsenal de Sarandí.
Juan Manuel Martínez got a magnificent individual goal to set Vélez on their way to a 2-0 win, however former Estudiantes player Hernán López scored two late goals for Estudiantes to win the championship for them.

@joppadoni this is because it was the final match of the league and, if Vélez wins and Estudiantes draw, they will go to a final between both team to see who will be the champion. If Estudiantes lost and Vélez wins, Vélez would be Champion again, and in his centenaury year!
Estudiantes was the champion, but in the next tournamente Vélez was crowned champion.
