After that RNC speech, James Carville and Paul Begala must've been so disappointed they got this guy in office.

A lot of you obviously have never read his book, "A National Party No More."
-
As zell is walking out he's thinking "what is this new damn hippy rock n roll music they're playing?!"

Zel Miller is a fucking traitor. He commited treason when he supported Bush in 2004. They should KICK him out of the democratic party!!
-
hmm George HW Bush doesnt get it, but his son did ok miller now you show your true colors

You people fail to realize that both parties have changed a great deal. The Democratic Party used to be a party centered around populism and national defense. It was a party that galvanized great support from the south for its Jacksonian policies of government nonintervention in economic policy. Zell Miller originally though that Bill Clinton was a Jacksonian populist, but shortly after realized that he was in fact a progressive. Progressivism is what is killing this nation.

What's so laughable is every time I hear him say " George Bush doesn't get it ". In 2004, George Bush still didn't get it but he embraced him, albeit a different George Bush.

I remember watching this speech back in 1992. I was only 20 and this was the first presidential election I ever voted in. I hate to say it, I was actually inspired by this speech. I thought Zell Miller was the same kind of Democrat as Bill Clinton and actually imagined this man as a future presidential candidate. I'm glad that never happened. After Joe Lieberman, I can't think of a bigger asshole than this guy.

Exactly, he is a turncoat.

That last line wa awesome!!!!!!Now Miller hates the Democrats.
It's still a darn good speech though. Really connects his personal experiences and why the democratic party is the best party for fullfilling the American dream.
