  • Brilliant minds won't always be right though, newton was an alchemist but he was still a very smart chap.

  • @EasyEs If you noticed that comment was made one year ago so I have changed some of my views on the guy but he is a proponent of intelligent design which essentially is creationism presented as science.

So that surely will have an impact on his other research but I am not one to say if he is right or wrong only time can tell.

  • @DSD1v57BG32 Oh I am well aware of his personaly feelings, also there were people in Europe in the science community who didn't think there was any basis for viewing blacks as less intelligent etc, who stated cultural differences for their lack of civilization.

I am not ragging on Darwin who I respect. Also I don't know where Spencer claims to be a creationist..

From what I can tell, and NASA he is a competent scientist, and you provide nothing to back up your claim of otherwise

  • You are right though, his views should not matter, it's only when he imposes those views on others that it should.

  • Funny because at the time most churches didn't give one shit about the treatment of blacks.

  • @EasyEs Everone thought themselves superior to all races, they thought of blacks as not human. In darwins time that was very common but online many he complimented blacks on their intelligence. It was because of scientific advancement we do not have that mentality.

Darwin was horrified because of the tales he heard of the treatment of slaves and even got kicked out momentarily off robert's ship for disagreeing with him on the issue. Darwin was very anti-slave.

  • @DSD1v57BG32 In the context of the argument he puts together here why does that matter? Darwin had very unscientific views on black people, are you going to throw out evolution?
