Waco YMF 3 Take off and landing at Hood River, OR.

This video was taken at the Antique Airplane Fly In at the WAAM in Hood River, OR, Sept 12th 2009.

In my opinion, the Waco YMF is the "Icon" of not only the barnstorming days, but of General Aviation it's self! And if you read the history on the design of this model of Waco, it only makes sense that it truly IS an icon that represents the very core of what general and private aviation is all about. Fun, freedom and adventure! Someday maybe I will be lucky enough to own one of these great birds!

The Waco in this video is a 1934 Waco YMF-3 that was rebuilt by Bob Juranich in WA. It is Waco Serial #4209 and is powered by a Jacobs L4 /R755-7 radial engine. The current paint scheme is the same as it was at factory delivery. Bob and his crew did a fantastic job at restoring this airplane!
