Phone Arena reviews the Palm Treo 800w, which is one of the most full-featured smartphones on the market. Running Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional, the 800w features the latest in high speed communication with EVDO Rev. A and Wi-Fi connectivity, as well as Bluetooth and GPS. It has slimmed down considerably from previous Treos, but retains a good sized full QWERTY keyboard...

My comment is way after and I know, doesn't matter but I just have to say it - WHY DIDN'T PALM MAKE A PALM OS VERSION - A PALM 800P? Damn it.

Yeah, you'll be able to use the internet off public WiFi hubs.... but now that Sprint has the "Everything" plan, you should just sign up for that. I don't know where you live, but where I'm at, there aren't a whole lot of WiFi hotspots.

The MicroUsb port on the BOTTOM of the phone is used for charging the phone and syncing it to your computer. The MicroSD port on the SIDE of the phone, is for the expandable memory. He just mis-spoke.

Being that it has wifi, does that mean I could use the internet just by using public wifi? Or do I have to pay for a data plan???? Please reply as it would be REALLY helpful.
Thanks

The Maps application actually does interface with Sprint Navigation. Once you find the destination, just press 'Menu' and select 'Drive To.'

Infrared, Think of it as the same technology your TV remote uses.. Can be used to "beam" files to other people, or get a 3rd party app and program it as your tv/dvd/everything remote on your phone!
