It surley wil get a much greater bullshit than that american Dragonball moive!!

C'mon! No gringo will ever be able to play the role of a japanese, take over their movements or be able to understand the really importand scenes!

THE AMERICAN REMAKE WILL KILL THE WHOLE SERIOUSNESS OF THE ANIME.

no one complained about the japanese movie, it was really good. just like the anime, it got a pretty damn good reaction from the audience of death note fans

but on the other hand, an american remake will pretty much make this epic anime look like a joke and will only be suitable for people with IQ ranging from potato chips to misa. plus people will not understand why you love death note so much.

LMAO all those pics seems to make him look right for the part rather then wrong. Lights a good looking young man, he's basically suppose to be perfect in everyway so since he doesn't see his own flaws he thinks he is the best to judge everyone else. Give him a chance,Leonardo Decaprio started off as a hated teen heart-throb, which just goes to show haters just want to hate. I think he'll be good if the team make and effort to really understand Light,The directors and writers are just as liable.

first off, the guy who is said to direct is wants to keep it as close to the actual manga as possible. look it up. zac effron looks a lot like light. plus, he is actually a fan of DN. just cause he was in HSM doesnt mean he cant play a role like light too. you people a so prejudice. also... the whole movie isnt even a set thing. they have to have a script (which i dont think they do) before they can even think about actors. so dont complain about zac until he actually does a horrible job.

You guys realize Zac Efron is a huge DN/anime fan on top of the fact he looks just like him, right? Wouldn't you rather have a fellow fan playing him then someone who doesn't care about the source material? Just because he was in some stupid Disney movies doesn't mean that's the only type of role he can play; and judging by some of his new movies, he's a fairly decent actor.
