In case anyone is wondering, this is from Gov't Mule's New Years Eve concert in 2002. George Porter Jr. from the Funky Meters is that funkin ass bassist you hear.
-
paying homage to Lowell more than any one else

@USAJAGROLTYD Um, this is not a Robert Palmer original. This was originally written and performed by New Orleans artist Allen Toussaint.
-
anyone thinkin - "Dude - I got my venue ... for my dance quintet. I'd like you to come & give me notes." ?
The Dude abides better when the house band rocks.

Warren Haynes is a phenomenol artist, not afraid to play any tne. I believe when he plays a song, its to pay homage to that artist for what they brought to the audience.
Robert Palmers style and music will live on. LONG LIVE GOV'T MULE !!!
