I can't tell by the video, but our demo derby runs go / no go sticks. If the driver thinks he is in trouble they break the stick off the car which is near the window and wave it which means they are done. This is a back up safety if officials are not watching.

Yea i was there the car hittin him was the guy on my team...we talked to the guy in the crushed car after the race...he said one more hit and his head wouldve been smashed in...they shouldved called it way earlier
