They played this when I saw them at the UEA. Being a huge fan of both The Darkness and Radiohead, I have to say this was one of the highlights of the whole gig.

guy can sing...

They tried to make it more uplifting. Because the original seriously is so hard to got through without deeply thinking aboutsomething sad. I still like the original better tho.

noone else notice he plays the "Just" riff in the middle there?

I'm a huge Radiohead fan (seen'em 11 times) and Street Spirit is one of my top 5 songs, and I love the version by The Darkness. Yeah it's different, but the melody works perfectly for the cover version.

Thank fucking Jesus for that! Finally putting that amazing voice of his to good use :D

awesome. the darkness rock!

The reason this is fucking disgusting is because Street Spirit is a fucking depressing song. It's insanely emotional and incredibly deep. This doesn't capture that AT ALL. It just doesn't work AT all.

They missed a whole freaking verse! I don't mind the darkness but I think this song is much to sombre for their style. I don't think Thom Yorke would like it very much. Radiohead tend to play this at the end of their sets because it rattles tom so much emotionally, its meant to be a very dark song. Some things should be left to exist the way they were created I think. Still, The Darkness are definitely a cool band.
Huge Radiohead fan. If the darkness had just covered this song with in the same style as radiohead, yeah it would be pretty crap. But the fact that they did it to their own style is pretty awesome. Well Done!

I don't know how anyone can say this sucks. Look, it's 2010, we all know The Darkness were the perfect band in the sense they came, made us smile and burnt out. The fact they turned Radiohead into a buttrock power jam is f'n great. I feel bad for anyone who doesn't get it.
