The fest opened with Torso and Pieces (1983) (aka, Mil gritos tiene la noche).

i saw torso on a double feature with the texas chainsaw mass back in the 70's.

the version i saw of torso was cut.

I didn't find out about this screening until THREE DAYS after it happened, and I was so furious I almost ripped my New Beverly schedule to pieces. So, needless to say, I'm thrilled to see his intros on youtube.

I wish I wasn't so cynical. But I haven't seen Torso yet - and thanks to Roth's intro, I'm going to go out of my way NOT to see it.

And why does anyone give a crap about Scott Baio? Seriously...
