Squadron Leader Veer Pratap Singh (Shahrukh Khan) is a rescue pilot with the Indian Air Force. In the line of duty he comes across a stranded Zaara (Preity Zinta)... a girl from Pakistan who has come to India to fulfill her surrogate mothers dying wish.

Veer saves her life and his life is never the same again.

Twenty two years later Saamia Siddiqui (Rani Mukerji), a Pakistani human rights lawyer on her first case, finds herself face to face with an aging Veer Pratap Singh. He has languished in a Pakistan jail cell for 22 years and has not spoken to anyone all these years. And no one knows why. Her mission is to discover the truth about Veer and see to it that justice is served.

Veer-Zaara is a saga of love, separation, courage and sacrifice. A love that is divine, a love that is whole-hearted, a love that is completely consuming, a love that grows with separation & deepens with sacrifice. A love that is an inspiration... and will remain a legend forever.

  • i wish i lived in the village =)

  • @PakistanisPrince Clearly you need to follow your own advice. Sikhism has been present since the 15th century, not the 1600's. Sikh Punjabi's have paved the way for Punjabi culture, not Pakistanis. When a person thinks of a Punjabi, they think of a Sikh, not a Pakistani. Who is in this movie? A Sikh. Every bollywood movie that has portrayed Punjab or Punjabi's have been Sikh. Why? Sikh's have a better reputation, they've done so much for Punjab that it is known on a world wide scale.

  • @Krazyisthebest LOL sikhs were exist since 1600, punjabi have been exist for thousand, and 80% indian sikhs came from pak side punjab, RESEARCH!!!!

  • @PakistanisPrince Pakistani Punjabi culture? Bro, Punjabi culture was created by the Sikh Punjabis. Paki people have no culture of their own. You try to adapt to ours and then proclaim you made it. Lodhi is celebrated by Sikhs when a family bores a new baby boy.

  • Nice song.
