Pink Floyd keyboardist Richard Wright passed away on September 15th 2008, in the week before dreamSTATE played at an AMBiENT PiNG concert in Toronto on September 21st. We are all Pink Floyd fans and I would still name them as my favourite group and a vital early inspiration. I suggested that we play our opening piece as an homage to Rick and all agreed. I fashioned a "ping" from my Korg Kaossilator and we winged it from there.
The concert was filmed by Jeff Howard and additional footage was later captured of the moon and of water, as Rick loved to sail. We hope that you enjoy this tribute and that it may inspire reveries or memories of Richard Wright,. ~ Scott M2
