I'm not sure about this but I think foxes don't live in the mountains.

do foxes live in the rocky mountains, the appalachian mountains? even though the adirondeck park is approximately 5 million acres in size.. folks also call it the adorandeck mountains..figuretively speaking.. ok to really answer ur question.. if the right habitat is present with enough food source warrent, even at high altitudes. example.. higher elevation in Idaho..... bobcat, foxes and coytes are caught at high elevation because there is a food source. .. thx for making me think hard .LOL..
