  • Would the Flowers that wrote this be Herbie Flowers. Bassist on Lou Reed's Walk on The Wild Side and Bowie's Diamond Dogs album. Also writer of Clive Dunn's Granddad.

  • Herbie wrote Clive Dunn's 'Grandad', so it's quite possible!

  • Have an audio recording of Corbett singing this live on Top of The Pops : it's from one of the shows that does not exist anymore.

  • Herbie was also bassist for T.Rex once and appeared on the Marc shows in 77. He later joined Sky. Cook would prob be Roger Cook.
