See all that farmland, that didnt exist back in the day. Just forest for miles and miles... used to be alot of giant american chestnut tree those no longer exist either nor the eastern timber wolves, wood bision, eastern elk, passenger pigeon, wolverines, mountain lions, and a bunch of other stuff that was killed off by man. Take a long look because one day this will not exist either.

I could not find the Ecksville shelter on the Appalachian Trail. So I hiked until 12:15 AM. And it was very hot in the mid 90s.Got low on water, I had to drink iodated creek water. And I had to poop. So I pooped at a camping spot next to the AT. And I hiked at night. And I made it to New Ringgold from Port Clinton pavilion in 1 day.

I love Hawk Mountain. I was planning to take my Albanian boyfriend there today but it looks like it is going to rain. So instead I will show him videos. Thanks for one of the videos I will show him. I even bought a hiking stick up in Jim Thorpe, PA just for the occaision. He has been to many mountains all over Europe and I wanted to show him Hawk. Oh well I guess we will do it another day. It would have been too muggy today anyhow. May 29, 2011 Memorial weekend 8:55 AM. Peace my fellow journier.
