Sigfrid Karg-Elert composed many pieces for harmonium, except this one, which is meant for a pipe organ. This transcription might not have the same full sound as a pipe organ, but this little organ does the best it can : ) The pedals have been transcribed to the left hand.

Sigfrid Karg-Elert was born on November 21, 1877, and died April 9, 1933. He was a German composer in the early twentieth century, who became quite popular for a wide range of works.

The organ in this video is a foot pumped suction reed organ, made by the Berlin Organ Company in Berlin (Kitchener), Ontario Canada.

  • Really well played!

Does your organ have a pedal point function (referring to approx 2:20 into your recording)?

  • @organamateur - Thanks! This organ does not have a pedal point, how I wish it did! I almost have to dislocate my 5th left finger to play that passage :-)

  • EXCELLENT......BRAVO.!!!!!!

  • thanks! :)
