HERES ANOTHER WAY TO PUT IT... EASY DEATH FOR BABYS
-
@TheBordomGirl She should feel safer if there's something she can cling to, like a flutterboard or a noodle that she knows is holding her up (flutterboards are better IMO since they're sturdier), then she'll gradually feel more comfortable floating :)

@luvbey Umm this is totally fine the parent is with the child they aren't abusing it calm down its good exercise
-
@mohab18 Wow stfu read what crap you write so your saying a parent who teaches their child to swim and its good exercise their a bad parent get off youtube you know nothing about being a parent.

@Agentmistyzebra What if someone babysitting your child isn't watching then yes this is necessary or if on a boat I believe everyone should know how to swim I still don't

i'm 19 years old and i still hate water ( can't swim )

omg!

@Agentmistyzebra Yea but you never know what can happen...Yes, people should always have an eye on their kids, but your children are not always in your care, between family members & baby sitters, it's just better to be safe than sorry, ESPECIALLY when it comes to your children..Most babies will never have to use this survival skill, but is a good skill for them to have just in case. I mean, even if your child never had to use this, wouldn't you want them as safe as absolute possible regardless?

I am definitely interested in teaching my daughter to swim. Whats the best way, she is terrified of she cant touch the bottom (1 years old) to get her to relax?

I don't see a problem with this at all. Besides if you are being attentive, which if you are trying to teach your baby this, you probably are very attentive to your child, if the child does go under, the parent is RIGHT there and the kid WILL NOT drown if you pick it up within seconds!!!
If you were watching your baby in the first place, this isn't necessary....

It's humorous that some would consider this unsafe, reckless even. Though it could be the deciding factor between life and death for the child in question. Parents can only do some much when it comes to safeguarding their children. Personally I find it more beneficial to equip the child with the ability/knowledge, even a basic instinct, of being able to handle themselves in dangerous situations.
