Anywhere you go throughout rural Rwanda, you will encounter hundreds of these wonderful children and their families, all smiling, waving, and excitedly saying hello. Many do not speak English, but I enjoyed trying to learn some Kinyarwanda from them, as well as using the few words of French which I know. Some of these children are the most intelligent, interesting, kind and hard-working people whom I have ever spoken to. If you ever encounter a group like this one (and aren't in a hurry) feel free to get out of your vehicle and get to know them; they will be just as interested in seeing you as you will be in seeing them and the beautiful country which they call home.
