HQ(stereo): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZZKkxAQYxyE&fmt=18 Blade Runner rooftop scene and random space graphics, all in glorious old school 320x240 resolution.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe.

Attack ships on fire
off the shoulder of Orion.

I've watched C-beams
glitter in the dark
near the Tannhäuser Gate.

All those moments
will be lost
in time
like tears in the rain.

[time to die]

  • 15 Replicants need retirering.

  • What the movie is saying is that replicants and humans are the same. Apparent differences in physical and intellectual capabilities are insignificant. We have the same dilemma: trying to figure out if there is a meaning to our existence during our lifetime. When Deckard asks Bryant, "How can it not know what it is?", that is a question for us about ourselves. The movie very subtly questions perceptions of reality.

  • @fr277

Really? even though Phillip was initially reluctant at the scripting stage, he supported the film after watching a few scenes and wrote a letter declaring "Blade Runner is going to revolutionize our conceptions of what science fiction is and, more, can be."

  • @fr277 Are you kidding? I watched Blade Runner for the first time a week ago (Final Cut). New favourite film.

  • @HighlanderWeert The Tyrell Corporation's motto is "More Human Than Human", and arguably Roy Batty is the most 'human' of the characters presented. The androids in the movie show empathy and concern for one another, unlike those in PKD's novel, and unlike the cold, indifferent, impersonal 'human' masses we see thronging about in the LA of the future. I'd say that's a fairly good sell of Transhumanism, but maybe that's just my take on it.

  • @fr277 Quoting from a letter PKD wrote to Jeff Walker regarding Blade Runner...

"My life and work are justified and completed by BLADE RUNNER. Thank you...[...] It will prove invincible."

  • I want to die with this song playing in the background....

  • @fr277 Are you kidding me? Both are timeless classics. I think Blade Runner is better than Alien because of the deeper underlying themes, but both are awesome.

  • @fr277 You talk bull . ALIEN = SPACE the point being space... BLADE RUNNER = FUTURE EARTH the point being earth. Blade runner is unique and will remain as such... My point being Blade runner is a single movie (fantastic) Alien VS Predator is a joke. so when you look at it like that (plus all the other crap alien movies) not including ALIENS... only one of the two is timeless

  • Blade Runner is bit outdated now when Alien will remain timeless!!!!!

  • In the book deckard is a cynical bounty hunter ! His first words after he shot Baty dead are:" Androids are stupid!!". And he doesn't get more human. Pris cuts spider's legs off with scissors. Baty is some kind of Mars mine worker under drugs. Luba is an opera singer. and they 're longing to fuse with Mercer watching Buster friendly & his friendly friends on tv. R Scott just took the basis of the novel and turned it into a sci-fi thriller. Go get the book it's worth reading.

  • It's amazing to see what R. Scott did with the Characters of Roy Baty and DECKARD (among others) He made a great movie , unfortunatly it 's has nothing in common with the novel it's supposed to be based on. There is definitely a movie called : Blade runner and a novel called : do androids dream of electric sheep! Phlip K Dick died before the released of the movie and the little he saw he didn't like ( with reason i must agree!) .
