@TruthJockey Given Earth's age vs. the age of the Universe.. Humans thinking ANY Religion we have may be right is pure stupidity! Even the most Benevolent ALIEN Can not understand God.. With literally THOUSANDS OF GODS of offer, the chances of YOUR GOD being the "One True God" are statistically nil, notta, zero. And Pascal's Wager misses this point...the chances of Thor, Zeus, L. Ron Hubbard, Joseph Smith, or The Pope being "THE disciple/prophet of the ONE TRUE FAITH" is NOT 1 in 2 (50%) -- it's 1 in 10,000+...or probably (and more likely) ZERO in 10,000+!

And since you can only pick ONE religion...you can't possibly expect 2 please every deity & "hedge your bets" w/TheGods!

@MrAvidLearner A lot of people do. I think even Howard and Artie believe in that. How can you blame them? They could be labeled "agnostic" because they're scared. Based on what we've been taught about religion and spirituality, why wouldn't we be scared? I surely WISH there were a god/gods and an afterlife. It's really hard to not be a nihlist based on the fact that there's no afterlife.
