"I sold drugs & wanted to rap, now niggas rap & want to sell drugs, down with celebrities who want to be thugs" I still laugh at that line & the line later on in the song about female mc's rhyming about flipping keys & couldn't work a triple beam. Holy shit, I just pulled that from memory & I couldn't tell you not one current hip-hop song for the most part! Lyin king & know introduction were heavily played off this album...an overall great album by today's standards for damn sure!

The idea behind this song is so awesome. It's about songs that sound the same, not to mention fake, over a sample from a song poking fun at played-out and redundant themes (love songs imparticular) that lack originality and creativity. I remember when I first saw this video back in '96, I flipped when I heard that Three Dog Night sample. Perfect! Those were the days. Rap sucks now. Like Paul Mooney said, you start having too much fun, they'll come in and take you and your stuff.
