How did you set up the djun djun so you could play it with a pedal?

The djun djun is set on folded blanket with the sides rolled. It is actually pretty secure.
The DW 5002 pedal has velcro which clings to the stiff carpet I've cut to support foot plates. I slide the the pedal up to the drum and thats it, it not attached to the djun djun. Ther beaters hit high off center, but it doesn't matter, it still sounds good.
