Translation of Spanish 2 of 2:
Farmer: look, i don't want any problems...
Colby: nonono..
Farmer: ...but I have seen her.
Colby: yes?
Farmer: she was at the border at Tecate.
We waited together until it got dark.
Her name is Alba.

Hey panetesan2k6, I don't think the idea was to "fool us" into thinking that Colby is 100% fluent in Spanish. However (I'm fluent in Spanish, it *was* my first language), the actor portraying Colby does a damn fine job as a white boy Fed speaking Spanish. His accent is understandable, and it's nice to see a US Fed/Cop character actually speak Spanish (unlike a number of my fellow Americans who are monolingual!) As soon as I can I'll translate what they say and post it here for y'all.

I just like how hot he looks in all black. :-P

Ive had 3 years of spanish classes in highschool but the only thing i understood from this scene was "quien es ella?" Thats really sad huh?
I'm spaniard, I can tell you that the actor seems to have learned the lines phonetically, it doesn't sound like he has ever spoken spanish, not even the basics. To my ear, it sounds very unrealistic (and I know how foreign people speaks spanish like).

Really? Yeah, there is a difference between the way foreigners and spanish people speak the language. Well that's really interesting. I never thought of that. Thanks for watching and commenting. :)

Yeah... Imagine you see a spaniard movie, and we present to you a character wich has some lines in a very poor english. Most spaniards wouldn't notice, but you can tell that actor doesn't speaks english and more, has never spoken it in his life.
Other usual thing in Hollywood is to present hispanics (usually mexicans) playing the role os spaniards, wich to me is like if you see an australian playing an american, but without trying to seem american or doing the accent, just been aussie.

I never thought of it that way. That's really smart, and it's a really good point. Well I'm glad you were able to tell the difference, and tell me, because I never would have noticed. Lol, and thanks for watching and commenting!
