  • Frank Capra was a great director. This movie has more history in it than most people realize both for events that have taken place and are happening once again......

  • Great observation, I totally agree.

I wished some of his heroes would come to (real) life these days.

  • 5 years ago a friend and I went down to our State Capital for what we thought was a

"grass root" Tea Party demonstration. I'm a Libertartian so I don't watch Fox nor listen to their Radio programs. All of my communication had been online. When we got there we we're quite surprised at how many people had showed up, then we saw and heard Fox Radio and one of their local Republican hosts introducing politicians. I knew right then that the Tea Party movement had been hi-jacked by Fox Rupert=DB

  • That dream was quite awkward lol

  • "Show me an American that can keep his mouth shut and I'll eat him" bu bu buwhat? I guess that saying has disappeared since filming :)

  • I has always found this film to be one of my favorites during this time of year! :D

  • rick ross brought me here

  • The best Christmas movie ever, from the great Frank Capra. And how appropriate to our times. Will we finally take charge for our lives, communities and cities or continue to leave it to the politicians and bankers? And keep repeating the same mistakes. when will we learn? 2012? Occupy, vote, revolt, stop paying your taxes or more of the same for anther 250 yr cycle. Democracy is dead, long live democracy.

  • What an amazing movie! I was more and more into it as each minute went by . I was even beginning to believe in the John Doe movement myself. I wanted it so badly to be true, for the club to succeed. The idea seemed so simple, but it turned out to mean so much more. I was in tears for the last fifteen minutes. Over 70 years later and this movie is still moving. BRAVO!

  • for those of you who claim that something similar to the plot of the movie is happening now in real life, could you shed some light on this? is it the displays of fascist values, organized clubs, ignorant herd following of the masses, populism and the Occupy Wall Street movement, the danger of "Huey Long"'s, etc.? Sensationalist journalism and unethical practices related to it (ie news corp scandal)? i'm interested in what others think is happening or going to happen.

  • I sat with Frank Capra,in his living room,in Fort Lee,N.J. 1971,we were working on an anti-drug Play.He had to leave the project,I did not know who he was,we had fun,he was a nice man.Years later I found out he was a great man.The film style is old,but has the Capra touch.

  • @paulj0557 ...It's a wonderful life.........Capra,also.
